Yes, you read it right.
This blog is going to be boring.
I won’t suggest any remedy today, except to embrace boredom to lead a good life.
I’ve myself experienced, embracing & accepting boredom is more productive (atleast for me) than hopping from one thing to another. One dopamine to another.
Just 1 day, do less.
Consume less entertainment.
Engage less on social media.
Use less phone.
Just sit around.
Get sun bath.
Go on a simple walk.
And see the wonders it does to your mental health than any games, dates, clubs, party, booze or drugs do.
We lived a fairly boring life as a caveman, hunter gatherer. Waiting for that hunt. Waiting for that harvest.
Now everything is instant.
We don’t need to hunt.
We don’t need to harvest (unless you’re a farmer).
Everything is right on the table. Throw some money. Capitalism baby.
And this instant gratification is the root cause of ruin these days.
Tame that monkey mind.
Embrace boredom and see the mental clarity.
Many will agree with me that they had more clear head, razor sharp focus and clean thought process not far but just 5 years back.
Do less.
Be boring.
Let your biggest strength, cognition heal.
