I have a good night’s sleep thanks to insurance.
All my valuables are insured which keeps me at peace of mind.
My house is insured thru home insurance. God forbid, any natural calamity happens and my home which is one of my precious assets gets destroyed; I can simply go to my insurance company and seek for money equivalent to my house. So I’m not worried about sleeping on footpath in case something happens to my home.
I’ve got a pretty decent term life insurance. In case anything happens to me, my family will be secured after me. So I’m not worried what will happen to my family.
I’ve mediclaim, in case something goes wrong with health, I don’t have to bank on my investments and savings for the treatment. So I’m not worried about the hospital bills.
My vehicle is insured. I’m not worried about any damages to it and apparently make me cool and calm vs others who don’t have insurance and are constantly worried about that tiny scratch or dent here and there.
Basically, I’m just paying a miniscule premium and passing on all my risks and worries to the insurance company.
And I think everyone should do it. ASAP. Irrespective of their age.
I’ve my mediclaim since I was 18 (before that my father used to take care of it). Term insurance when I was 21-22…
Insurance just takes your financial worries away.
You get better bandwidth to think and do about things which actually matters to you.
Some call insurance a scam. I personally see it as a means of outsourcing my risks.
To each it’s own.
If someone’s a miser and don’t want to pay miniscule premium, unfortunately, a big cash outflow teaches them a lesson.
I don’t want you to be that person.
Better you learn from this blog now rather than paying hefty cost later for a silly mistake.
Get insurance. Period.
