India is hosting the BRICS summit. Giants like Russia & China are present.
India managed to get Iran, UAE & Saudi Arabia in the same room. Remember, the war is still going on.
Iran hit hundreds of missiles on both UAE & Saudi just few months back.
It’s not long back that UAE exited the OPEC a couple of months back.
India pitched for BRICS own currency (read dedollarisation) by pitching UPI which handles 50% of all of the world’s real time payments.
For people who complain that our PM is always on foreign trips, as if he’s on vacation (no political affiliations), this is the proof of all those trips & diplomacy paying off!
And it’s for all our Indian citizens & India’s benefit only.
We have got 11 full BRICS members (additional 10 partner members if we take the extended partners too) who are looking to work with us.
This consortium of 21 countries makes world’s half population and has came a long way as compared to traditional G7.
While these G7 has a share of 29% world’s GDP, BRICS is ~40%!
And remember last BRICS summit? It rattled Trump so badly that he went on to kidnap Venezuelan presidency.
Overconfident with Maduro’s kidnapping, fell into the trap of thinking Iran would be the same case. And is still facing strong retaliation from Iran.
This consortium leverage helps us go a long way in geopolitics.
