Last month I was traveling in Spain and what amazed me is the architecture of Sagrada Família. World’s tallest church.
And what boggled me even more is that it’s still under construction. Since past 144 years.
Can you imagine the patience required to build the masterpiece?
This holy church took nearly 150 years under construction.
It has seen World War I & II, pandemics, epidemics, kings dethroned, assassination, inflation, atom bombs dropped, the rise and fall and rise.
That is how rare a gem of a thing is built.
And here people shit their pants seeing a 20-30% drop in stock price.
All I learnt from my visit to Sagrada Família is that it takes long periods of time to create something worthwhile which lasts generations to generations.
It takes vision. To do something big. To do something extraordinary. To create a masterpiece. To build a legacy.
Also, why Warren Buffet is Warren Buffet; is because he has given this craft of investing nearly 80 years of his life!
Anything worthwhile to be built will take time.
