When faced with tough life changing decisions, it’s better to sleep on them.
Step aside for sometime. Think. Don’t act impromptu. Borrow time, if needed. Increase the reaction time.
Do all the scenerio analysis (If you don’t get too worked up/overwhelming doing them) for better understanding.
Try to find ‘concrete solutions’ to the problems rather than just thinking, thinking & thinking. All I can say, overthinking is tiring.
Meditation surely helps. Specifically, the deep ones like an hour or 1 day retreats. (The longer the duration the better). Those who have done Vipassana, should surely go for the 1 day course.
All problems are impermanent in nature. They’re here to pass. To make you strong. In the moment, you may surely feel worse, though always believe there’s a larger purpose.
Don’t fear making decisions. Right or wrong, only time will tell. If you already knew in the moment what’s right then you won’t struggle making the decisions. Being indecisive is worse than making wrong decisions.
Time after time, it’ll be proven, that we suffer more in imagination than in reality.
