Modern society at large is mediocre.
To do something exceptional, you need to defy the modern societal norms & that’s going to be uncomfortable.
Most people out there are trying to be someone, who they are not. Everyone wants to play status games. Everyone wants to look, sound & behave modern even if they actually make fool of themselves. After all, that’s human behavior 101. Herds should have been their forefathers. Not monkeys.
Though, I’ve often seen, extraordinary personalities don’t play status games. They do what’s right. Not what everyone’s doing.
Oh, everyone’s grabbing that drink. I too should even if I don’t want to. Mediocrity.
Oh, everyone’s dating. I too should even if I’m not doing well with my finances, personality, value systems. Mediocrity.
Oh, everyone’s taking that liberal approach & sound so ‘open minded & progressive’. I too should even if it doesn’t makes sense to me. Mediocrity.
Oh, everyone’s marrying (mostly settling for less). I too should even if I’m not finding ‘the one’ who I aspire to marry. Mediocrity.
Oh, everyone’s splurging money. I too should even if it burns a big hole in my pocket. After all what’s life for? Who have seen tomorrow. Mediocrity.
God bless the modern society aka mediocre people trying to fake extraordinary life.
Taking the path of truth, freedom, absolute bliss is not for everybody. Only those truly live & experience this beautiful life. Others simply exist.
