Last year, around March, central banks across the world started raising interest rates.
Many people feared that stocks will go down because of these rates hikes & dumped their portfolios.
Stocks did go down in initial 2-3 months ie around June-July 2022, though stocks rebounded & in hindsight it was a great buying opportunity.
While we utilised this opportunity by sticking our necks out, others continued dumping stocks.
12 months fast forward, it’s June 2023. Interest rates are at record high levels. Indices like Nifty & Sensex too closed at record high levels yesterday.
What happened to the interest rate hikes & Nifty 10,000 scenarios? Seems nobody seems to care for it now. Just like Covid19 & Nifty 5,000 scenario.
Within next 2 years, Investors would have forgotten rate hikes just like they did to the Covid19 lock downs. Oh well, and what happened to the Russia-Ukraine War? Seems everybody forget it too.
Don’t worry. Media & News channels will hype something new. Next year, it would be 2024 India general elections & then US general elections.
Something or other will be a worrisome news. God forbid, as & when it happens, load quality stocks in your portfolio.
As always, thank me later.
