I’ve an unpopular & logical opinion.
Don’t do pilgrimage when you’re old. Do it when you’re young.
I preach what I practice. I’ve already been to both chotte & badde Char Dham Yatra, been to Shri Amarnath ji (twice), have been to 5 Jyotirlingas and many other significant religious places. And I’m barely 30. All thanks to my parents & family.
I mean when you’re old (even if you had all the money of the world) would you really be able to climb mountains for temples & visit far away places with all the low energy, fatigue or that knee pain.
Same applies to investing. People start their retirement investing when they are in their late 40s & 50s…
Why not start it the day you start earning? It would be ‘easier’ to plan & invest for your retirement when you’re in 20s & 30s because of the lesser responsibility you have. Yours truly has already started it at 18. (And can retire even today if he wants to, though he’s enjoying the work, so he won’t; don’t worry).
The more you delay, the more the pressure & the responsibilities you’d have to tackle to, to start your retirement investments.
Whether it’s pilgrimage or your retirement planning, you should do these ASAP. If, eventually, you have to do it ‘one day’; then why not do it now?
So why to wait? Do it now than later.
Remember to thank me later 🙂
