For those who want to be high achievers, here’s a tip. Introduce an ideology.
For eg: You want to be the best investor ever, introduce yourself to the ideology of being the best investor the world has ever given birth to.
If you want to be the best musician, introduce yourself to the ideology of all greatest musicians. Read their autobiographies, try to visualise the way you want to lead your life.
To excel in something, you need to embrace the concept of living the life of the person you want to be. Eventually, you will.
Staying unfocused, casual, accepting mediocrity isn’t going to help you.
You need to pump yourselves up, time to time, because most likely no one else is going to do it for you.
I say all this because I’ve worn many hats including but not limited to investor, research analyst, businessperson, mentor, professional accountant, writer, etc. And, thankfully, I’ve excelled in all of these using the above mentioned tip.
Just focus on becoming the best ever. Do your best.
