All my life, whatever I’ve been able to achieve is thru reading books.
Books have played a crucial role for me.
There was a time in my college that the college awarded me as the “Best reader of the year”, because of my frequent visits to library (not for academic studies but for borrowing & reading fiction & non fiction books off library).
My academics have little to no role in where I am.
In beginning days I learnt a lot of useful stuff from non-academic books, both fiction & non fiction.
These day I do watch YouTube videos for overall learning & development (Though I intend to go back to increasing my reading time rather than watching YouTube self help videos).
Reading makes your mind process a lot of things, digest it at your own pace & makes knowledge sustainable.
If you’re someone who doesn’t read, start with ANY book of your interest. There’s no thumb rule to start off with books which are either hard to read, intellectual or to brag & please others. Read what you want to read.
At cost of few hundreds of ₹, you’ll learn invaluable lessons, both from fiction & non fiction books.
Also, financially the Return On Investment, ROI is highest from books.
I can say, books are my best investments ever.
