I’ve seen many smart people biting the dust & ruined.
People try to break the consistency in search of novelty & something new.
Never interrupt compounding unnecessarily.
It is when you’re working consistently, you’re in a flow. Compounding works silently. Compounding is invisible. You can’t see it with naked eyes.
You can only see the results of compounding in hindsight.
It takes months & even years for a tree to grow. If you sit there watching entire day how a plant is going to grow, you’ll probably get bored & won’t be able to see the daily minute growth.
Human population is another great example of compounding.
It took all of human history until 1803 to reach the first billion in population. The next billion took 124 years.
It took ~30 years to reach the global population from 2 to 3 billion.
From 3 to 4 billion it took 14 years.
From 4 to 5 billion it took 13 years.
From 5 to 6 billion it took 12 years.
Compounding as a process happens very fast in the tail end.
You need to carry that vision. Most people probably lack the vision & never reach the tail end where maximum growth happens.
Stay in the game & keep pushing even if things are bleak & uncertain.
Compounding is always working. Either for you or against you.
