Here’s what happened with people who invested money into stock market in 1990s.
As the markets increased to lifetime highs back then, they thought, this is it & exited thinking they made lifetime of money.
Along the way, there were market crash way back then, they too thought, this is it & exited thinking they cannot ever make money from stock market.
Strangely, both set of investors are regretting today for not staying invested long enough.
I’m pretty sure, many current investors in 2024 too would be regretting in 2050s on how they missed on generational wealth creating opportunities.
Those who stay invested with patience over a long period of time never regret. Neither those from 1990s, nor will be those from 2020s.
Time in the market is important than timing the market.
