While most of my peers ‘enjoyed’ life, I put my head down, focused on building multiple businesses, invested majority of my business income into stocks and built a decent equity portfolio.
The hard work of past decade have started to reap the sweet fruits now.
All the hours of hard work put in, seems to be getting paid back in multiple times.
Also a lesson I learnt, anyone who stops you from working hard & asks to ‘enjoy’ life (especially in your initial years) is not your well wisher or a short sighted NPC. Often I’ve seen, those who ‘enjoy’ life in initial years, struggle the later part of life. Those who struggle in initial years, truly enjoy rest of their life.
Hard work never goes wasted.
I personally never regretted working for tens of hours at a single stretch. Nor do I think anyone regrets putting in the work.
I’ve seen only loafers regret.
If your goals are big: being focused, overcoming adversities by putting in the hours of work, building a routine & being consistent are the only things which will help you. There’s no short cut.
