Yesterday I met a girl, 26, single child. Highly educated. Frustrated with life. Makes every decision as per her parents needs. When asked why, says she’s emotionally attached to parents. Wants to work, parents say no. Wants to solo travel, parents say no.
Irony is that she went far ahead to make her parents happy that’s she’s unhappy now. That’s classic catch 22 situation.
You can’t make it big if you’re 26 & still make each & every decision as per your parents wants.
I’ve observed, many Indian parents are overly protective. This leads to the kids turning out to be fragile, dependent & frustrated lives.
Make your own decisions. Fail if you were to, on your own terms. Nobody achieved greatness being dependable on others.
