100x stocks are the ones which had strong earning growths, bought at reasonable valuations, great margin of safety, price multiples rerated on the upside.
For all these to fall in place, one needs to have patience to hold.
It takes, roughly, 10 years for a stock which is 100x to go from 1 to 100.
Basically, if one wants to have a 100x in portfolio, they need to ideally hold on to the stocks for 10 years or more.
