Every year, something or other spooks the markets and investors get scared out of it.
These events though seemed like end of the world, aren’t even discussed much today.
Let’s look at past decade & events that shook the world:
2014: Ebola virus outbreak.
2015: Greece Debt Crisis (Eurozone in danger)
2016: Demonetisation in India
2017: Brexit (Britain leaving EU)
2018: US-China trade wars
2019: World worried about India slowdown
2020: Coronavirus
2021: Recession fears because of Coronavirus
2022: Russia-Ukraine War
2023: High inflation after war. Crude $140/brl
2024: India unexpected election outcomes.
Stock market have seen all. Epidemics , wars, natural calamities, pandemic, trade wars, debt crisis & you name it; in past 10 years.
And every time these events happened people thought, this is it. This is the end.
Despite all these years, the market ended up making all time highs in following years.
In hindsight, each crisis was an opportunity in disguise.
If you’re smart, I need not tell what lies ahead in years to come.
