The modern society wants you to stick to one thing. They want you to stick to a single lane of occupation.
They try to censor you. If you’re into stock market or business you shouldn’t speak politics.
Don’t self censor yourself when entire society wants to rob you of your individuality. Self censoring is in the collective interest of society. Not yours.
There is no universal rule which says you need to stick to one line of work for your lifetime and then die. Don’t limit yourself to one thing. Explore whatever interests you.
There’s no written rule that a research analyst can’t speak politics, or a doctor taking up accounting, or an accountant taking up writing.
Here’s a bitter truth. There are many people who’ll genuinely like you to grow. But the moment you have outgrown them, they’ll do everything in their capacity to bring you down.
Your duty is to continuously push thru your boundaries. Let the society go to hell, collectively.
