Over the years I’ve realised is that difficult things bring good outcomes.
Lifting weights in gym is difficult but the gains later on and the shape of athletic body is wonderful!
When I was studying for the highest & toughest finance degree of India, I went thru multiple hardships. Looking back, I’m grateful for those dark gloomy days as they built my character.
While buying stocks when markets are down is no different.
Things are gloomy. Everywhere your conviction is tested. You’re either out of money or out of courage. You start wondering what’s wrong, why this stock is so cheap?
Buying the red is always and will always be difficult.
Though it’s when in green, you thank yourself for all the courage to buy in the red.
I’ve countless examples where stocks I bought, nobody wanted to touch it (despite good fundamentals) and later on these stocks ended up becoming multibaggers for me.
Eg: LT Foods (8x), Bectors Foods (4x), PayTM (4x), ITC (2x), ONGC (3x), Zomato (5x), etc, etc.
These are only handful examples, I’ve countless such examples.
It’s that doing unconventional or difficult thing is always tough. Though, that’s where you get an alpha. An extraordinary achievement.
That’s the Alpha of doing what’s difficult.
Keep pushing!
And remember; but I the red, enjoy the green!
