Death by Taxation? Not This Time.

Yesterday the supreme court ruled in favor of 28% retrospective GST on online gaming industry and that is a well needed directive.

I’m usually not in favor of over taxation. I’ve even written the famous blog on it ‘Death by taxation‘, but this tax on online gaming, I’m absolutely happy. And all for it!

First, no matter what someone says, how much lobbying they do, all those fantasy (new name for gambling and betting) sports apps are no skill based thing. It’s no different than GAMBLING AND BETTING. Period.

If betting is not legal in India, these companies have no right to exist in the first place.

They found a loophole and somehow thrived the market but their days are over.

Cummulative ₹2,00,000cr GST demand will put an end to this widespread cancer.

It has destroyed multiple lives & families, youth got addicted to gambling rather than building their career or any real material thing of value, these gaming apps were really termites for Indian economy.

If I were the Prime Minister of India, I’d have put all those founders of these apps behind bars and given them hang till death sentence. For robbing the poors and enriching themselves. Call me dictator or whatever you want and I’d have been totally fine with that. (Actually, that’s what real dictatorship is).

No mercy for criminals disguised as sophisticated founders for profiting from gullible poors. No sympathy.

May these fantasy gaming app founders be cursed. They deserve this.

Supreme Court bursted the great gambling scam of India!

Good riddance to India’s ‘Fantasy’ cartel.

A step in the right direction.
