~20 Years In The Arena

When I entered stock market, I wanted to make it big from stock market.

And after ~20 years, I’ve made it fairly big. Especially, considering my same age group peers.

On the way up, it was a roller coaster ride. Full of ups & downs.

My very first investment was a disaster. I lost nearly 66% of my initial capital. At that time it was fairly big. It was painful at that time.

Though I self learnt from my mistakes.

I rectified my mistakes and never made the same mistake again.

Today my ‘single day’ profit is many times bigger than the initial capital.

I read.

I refined my investing process over the years and kept working on my edge over the market.

Constantly absorbing knowledge. Connecting things. Making independent decisions. Betting big on conviction. Controlling emotions when seeing losses worth someone’s annual salary in a single day (seriously not a brag but telling you the intensity of emotions one ought to fight to survive & thrive in the markets).

When I see guys my age, loafing around wasting their lives, I understand how far I’ve came.

But deep down I know, honestly, I’m just getting started. Compared to my peer veterans, I’ve a long long way to go.

It’s one thing to see oneself doing better than peers, it’s another to see oneself aiming to be THE BEST amongst everyone out there.

In stock market, we’re in the business of beating the ballsy, the most intelligent, the most well read, the most courageous people in the world. And there’s this feeling when you beat the smartest people on earth. When you get right. When you make big returns.

I’m all in for the love of the game and making money simultaneously.

Stock market is the best place to be in.

Makes you a better person altogether.
