One needs to go thru both up & down days to realise the importance of what actually good days are.
If stocks only went up & never went down, you’ll never feel the joy of profitable portfolio.
Only when you go thru some drawdowns, down days, when you see red & sharp cuts in stock prices; you value the green & profitable portfolio.
If you’ve never been sad in life, you’ll rarely understand what it means to be happy.
If you’ve rarely seen bad days, you’ll barely understand the value of good days.
I understand that it sucks when you’re going thru down days (who knows it better than me) but that’s part & parcel of growing.
You got to see & experience both sides of the world to value good things. Else, you start taking things for granted. And then you lose touch with reality & end up creating blunders with your life.
That’s what rich kids do. They’ve barely gone thru tough days. Everything got served on a platter. When they see tough situations, they fold.
Everything happens for a reason & greater good. Both good & bad things (Actually good only in larger scheme of universe, but it’s the human brain which can’t see the goodness of the distant future).
See next time you’re going thru a loss, dip in portfolio or personal hardships; remember, everything happens for a reason & greater good. Chin up.
