You attract what you focus on.
You focus on profits, you attract more of it.
You focus on losses, you attract more if it.
As simple as that.
That’s how metaphysics works.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying you to ignore loss making investments. Profits & losses are part of investing. But simply crying over losses won’t make your life easy, in fact, it’ll make it miserable.
In a portfolio of 20 business, there are going to be 3-4 businesses which aren’t going to do well (The sooner you make peace with this statement, the better for you). Though, the remaining 16-17 businesses would be doing well, keeping overall portfolio in profits.
But the problem starts when you only focus on loss making investments rather than being thankful for the overall portfolio.
Far too many investors messaged me today on the mere 20% fall in PayTM than those who messaged me thanking for 600% returns in HUDCO.
That speaks A LOT about the mentality of the masses. And then they say, why I’m not making money? With all due respect, how could you be? With this kind of mindset? No offense…
Your focus should be on the overall portfolio gains rather than few losses here & there. Practically speaking, that’s how you stay in this game of investing. Else, truth be spoken, you end giving up.
Next time you make profits, do message me. I’m saying this for your own good. Also, I’ll feel good to stay connected with matured investors.
You attract what you focus on. Remember, metaphysics.
