In 2022, I read a wonderful-insightful book The Price Of Tomorrow
It changed my world view on many aspects. Especially on money & how the new world order is shaping.
It showed (with proofs) how the central banks across the world were screwing its citizens by printing money out of thin air (without any backing).
Interesting, there was mention of finite bitcoins & how it solves the inflationary problems emerging out of printing infinite currencies mindlessly.
I was convinced that bitcoin is an emerging asset class & may soon become a global reserve currency. Hence, I bought bitcoin around ₹15L. Today it’s sitting at ₹86L at time of writing this.
I bought the book at something around ₹2400 or so. Needless to say, this tiny ‘investment’ of ₹2400 on a book helped me generate 1000x return on its purchase. The number is far bigger than that. Well… I don’t prefer sharing the exact number for various reason.
The lesson is (are):
1. Spend money on books, subscriptions & articles. Every year I easily spend ₹50-60k on buying new books. The return on investments (ROI) on these books are immeasurable because they improve my life in various uncountable ways.
2. Read. Read every single day. Reading is the most important thing which will broaden your mind & your worldwide. The thing is, if I wouldn’t have read that book, I might have not bought the size of bitcoin I bought in the very first place.
3. Take some risks. In 2022, nobody wanted to buy btc at $16k while everyone wants to have its piece today above $100k. If you don’t take calculated risks, nobody’s going to help you.
P. S: Disc – For various regulatory reasons, this blog isn’t a financial advice on buying, selling of bitcoin. I’m sharing my personal experience on these blogs. The government (irrespective of whichever party you & I support) is already waiting for 30% tax on my crypto gains. I don’t want further unnecessary interference.
